Pool Party!!!

What a fun time we had Saturday! I love our team meetings! It’s great to get together with our crafting family!

So this team meeting was themed “Pool Party”. Yes, the pool was refreshing for some and it was cool inside for those that didn’t need that much sun. The swap cards were ALL FABULOUS!!! You will see them below for your inspiration.

We used Summer Happiness for banner and swap card and gifts…see below! Wow! I never imagined how versatile this bundle with the washi tape could be!!! You will see it again next week for another scrapbook spread.

Here is a sneak peek on upcoming bundle in September! Cute little guy for Christmas! This is one of the cards we had prepared for out team to make at team meeting!

AND…..

I am loving the new Hot Foil on my projects!!! Our next 2 cards use Hot Foil applied with the Hot Foiling hot plate and dies. I love the look! It adds a bit of shine, elegance, sparkle, and just over all ups the level of card making! Take a look and come to one of my clubs or class this month at the Sr. Center in Dallas to experience for yourself!

Butterfly Flight Bundle

The silver foil is subtle in this card but it adds so much cohesion and shine, just like a butterfly!

The dots were hot foiled using the Swiss Dots Hot Foil Die. Also, the butterfly outline was foiled using silver foil and then the sentiment was foiled in silver on top of Black Two Tone card stock for beautiful brilliance!

We used the following colors on Butterfly Flight Decorative Masks to color:

  • Mask #1 Fresh Freesia

  • Mask #2 Azure Afternoon

  • Mask #3 Blueberry Bushel

Botanical Glow Bundle

Our other Hot Foiled card is simple but so elegant and so versatile to send to a man or woman. I love the simple leaves! This bundle comes with a stamp. The stamp purposely does not match exactly with the hot foil die…they off set and it looks beautiful that way! We stamped first on the lighter side of Two Tone Garden Green card stock using Garden Green ink. Then used Gold Hot Foil to foil over the stamped leaves. And finally hot foiled the sentiment in Gold Hot Foil.

Cards speak volumes of love!

I have wanted to show off some of the cards I’ve received over the past few months! I know you all know…but I’ll say it again for all those who don’t respond to your cards made with love….your cards speak love, encouragement, and thoughts even if the words are not written words!

Thank you to those who have sent cards to me! I have felt the “hug”!

Next, I encourage you to attend club this month and team meeting! We are off on a new adventure of Hot Foiling! And I love it! It really takes a card up a notch with the foiling! It’s definitely a WOW! when pulling off the foil and seeing the image or sentiment foiled…whether it be Gold, Silver, Copper, Red, Green, Pink or any fun color! Next week I will be sharing many many samples from our team meeting including some Hot Foiling samples! But first some of the cards I’ve received lately

Scrapbook your beach summer vacation pictures

This month for scrapbooking, we designed 2 spread to use for your summer pictures…if you have some pool pics or vacation at the beach….this month’s spreads are perfect!

We used Sunset Coast bundle from Stampin’ Up and the beautiful Scenic Coast Designer Series Paper. Every sheet has a beautiful sunset glimmering over the water! We also added an adirondack chair from Relaxing Waterside Bundle. Click on the pictures for links to the products.

And….for those hot sultry days of summer, here is a spread you are sure to fill with pictures! The pages will make those dog days look fun and exciting!

We used Summer Happiness Bundle that has washi tape to coordinate! Dies from Summer Happiness work great to die cut washi tape images!

We used the NEW 12 x 12 decorative masks to create the water background above. Click the picture for a link to see products. and below click the picture for a link to the washi tape used….you can use it all in one piece or die cut.

TIP: Washi tape looks best - most saturation of color when attached to a piece of Basic White CS.

Plan to join us next month on the 3rd Saturday of the month at 4PM…August 22nd! I plan on another fun summer spread with the Summer Happiness Washi tape plus a second spread still in the works….

It's a BIG Card Buffet!

This Thursday, July 23rd and Saturday, July 25th come make cards with me! Choose from 38 different cards to make!

  • Make plans to attend!

  • RSVP which day you want to attend

  • BRING: your water/tea cup with lid

    blocks to mount stamps you will use

    Memento or Basic Black ink pad

    Paper snips, bone folder, tweezers, and Wink of Stella

You choose which cards you want to make and how many of each to make. Cards are $3 each OR make 8 and get the 9th one FREE!

TIP: if there is a card you really like, make 2 of the same card at the same time…..it goes faster and you can make more cards!

TIP: bring a friend and each of you make 2 of the same card and then swap 1 card so each of you has a bigger variety of cards made!

Times: Thursday 10AM to 5PM

Saturday 9AM to 4PM and then if you would like to stay for scrapbooking, that will start at 4PM. Cost for scrapbooking is $20 for 2 Two-page spreads. This month our themes are: Summer Vibes and By the Sea. RSVP. Text if you want pictures of spreads.

Pleated Purse Video Tutorial

Here it is! The unedited version of our Pleated Purse Video Tutorial! Pictures speak a million words! I hope you enjoy and make these cute little purses for your next party favors or gift packaging! They are easy to make and you will have such a fun time making all kinds of designs!

Create the cute Pleated Purse for your next party favors or gift bag. Made from one sheet of 12 × 12 Designer Series Paper

This looks so hard but it is really easy! You will need a bone folder which will enable sharp flat folds and a little strong adhesive. I use Tombo Multipurpose Glue item #110755 from my website.

For the front flap on the purse, use Everyday Arches Die Set. You may also order those from my web site by clicking the picture below.

And I my favorite for closures are these low profile velcro dots….I’ve added a link to Amazon.

Create "The Story" Complete Scrapbook Album

That’s right create a complete album….cover to cover! I have 9 kits left from my class a Creative Keepsakes Convention so this class will be limited to 9 people. RSVP to attend and claim your spot in taking this class!

Supplies to bring: bone folder, paper snips, adhesive (I do prefer Tombo liquid adhesive because it holds really well), To The Point Label Punch - if you have it or borrow mine. 1/8” hole punch - if you have or borrow mine.
