More Gilded Leafing with Pretty Perennials and a video tutorial

This week, we’d like to introduce another way to adhere Gilded Leafing from Stampin’ Up! We have chosen the stamp set, Pretty Perennials to showcase Heat & Stick Powder from Stampin’ Up. God created a lot of flowers to have a rich yellow center….and now a perfect was to simulate the center and give a little texture is to use Heat & Stick Powder as the adhesive to hold Gilded Leafing for the center of flowers. Here’s a video to watch to see how easy it is!

What is Heat & Stick Powder?

It’s really just an adhesive. It looks and feels a lot like white or clear embossing powder and is held in place by VersaMark ink. Once you have stamped in VersaMark and put Heat & Stick Powder over the VersaMark, heat from a Heating Tool will activate it to a sticky adhesive that will hold on to your Gilded Leafing.

Many Hearts Dies with Gilded Leafing for Valentines

A little bit of Gilded Leafing adds a touch of elegance and brightness to your hand crafted cards and projects! It’s easy to do. Over the next 4 weeks, we’ll have videos showing you the 4 ways - adhesives to apply Gilded Leafing to your cards.

Gilded Leafing comes in a plastic jar and is very lightweight…..light as a feather and very soft. You will want to find a large container with a lid to work with and store your Gilded Leafing. Make sure it is big enough to put your project in so you can apply and brush off excess leafing.

Gilded Leafing Embellishment is on page 33 in the January - June 2021 mini catalog #154560 $9 for 3 grams.

When using the Gilded Leafing Embellishment, you will notice that the leafing is very soft to touch. As it adheres it bends and catches the light in many different angles for a delicate radiance.

Supplies for the above card:

  • BASIC WHITE NOTE CARDS & ENVELOPES (159232)

  • Many Hearts Dies #154308

  • Gilded Leafing Embellishment #154560

This card was made for my team for this months team meeting. It uses Gilded Leafing Embellishment along with Gold Embossing Powder, Love You Always Suite with includes the True Love Designer Series Paper with Brushing Bride ink applied with Stampin’Up new Blending Brushes. Look on page 11 in your January - Jund 2021 mini catalog or please contact me for a catalog if you don’t have one.

Stampin’ Up Updates

Stampin’ Up is hard at work giving us top quality products and minimizing delays as much as possible. One of the paper mills Stampin’ Up used for Whisper White cardstock has closed permanently due to impacts from Covid. As you will hear in the following video, Stampin Up has searched for a comparable staple white cardstock. You will see the comparison side by side in the video. I am hearing rave review by those demonstrators that have tested the new BASIC WHITE cardstock already.

Most Wonderful Time Product Medley

Would you know, one of the products I choose for December clubs is on the Giant Year-End Closeout! Normally, product medleys are $70 and include stamp set, dies, designer series paper, ribbon, adhesive die cuts, and embellishments. Now, Stampin’ Up has discounted 20% to the price of $56. What a great deal!!! Usually club cards are kept special for club members but this month, I’ve challenged my self to make 20 different cards with this product medley! 4 different cards for each club meeting…..I’ve finished 2 club and am up to 8 cards! Take a look…..they are so easy to sit and make. I’ve kept the color palette to Real Red and Old Olive to coordinate with the designer series paper in the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley.

I love the gold foiling in the designer series paper. The candy canes are sooooo sweet looking and fun! I think they are my favorite…but then you’ve got the deer for masculine and the beautiful holly with gold foil for a little elegance. Perfect for everyone!

Here are my first 8 cards using Most Wonderful Time Product Medley…

More Most Wonderful Time Product Medley cards to follow next week!

Next, I want to show off some of the Christmas cards I’ve already received!

And here is a beautiful card designed by Sara….using the Poinsettia dies, Sweetest Border Bundle (dies 30% off!)

Tip: Sara used the Stamparatus and repeated stamping Early Espresso ink onto felt (Stampin’ Up #153516 50% off) or Red Velvet Paper Pack #153490 for candles. Definitely a must to dry with heat tool before handling. Flame has Shimmer Paint. Holly is die cut from Poinsettia Place DSP #153487 30% off. The candle and holly images are on a background of Mint Macaroon card stock.

Love the name for this Bundle…..or I guess I would specifically say Cherish the family and love that this Season promotes. When life brings stress….it makes us think more of loving our families.

I would like to encourage you to make and send more cards this year! It’s alway a challenge for me to send all the cards I dream about sending….my to send cards list is so very long!!!!! and my time seems so very short to do it all

Here is a sweet card I made for the last stamp camp. I thought I’d share it with you all. The card is a festive and happy Christmas card to make and send. Elizabeth made a video for you to enjoy and copy.
