Updates for Stampin' Up retired list and Boyle

I am so sorry to cause some confusion this afternoon. I had been in a meeting and afterward quickly dropped the pdf in a prewritten post and emailed to everyone. Later, I discovered the sale prices only come into effect on April 4th @ 12 AM mountain time which is 2:00AM our time.

Please refer back to early post today for the retiring product lists.

After looking at some of the lists - I would definitely consider ordering stamp sets that are not on sale. The past couple of years Stampin’ Up has only made a certain number of stamp sets and when they were finished selling those, they did make any more…thus on some items the stamp sets sold out earlier than die sets.

Also, card stock and reindeers have sold quickly as well as Designer Series Paper, and punches.

These can be tough decisions! Is the discount or having the item more important? And I am only giving a maybe good guess as no one knows how many will order what when???

Another thing to be aware of is Stampin’ Up is using a system Queue-it to prevent the whole system shutting down during peak ordering times. This system will put everyone in line to order. You may be put in a waiting room until your turn to order. This will prevent the system from shutting everyone out….so be patient if you are in the waiting room to order and don’t click out and loose your place in line to order.

Updates on the Boyles:

Nothing is changing!!!!!! only where we sleep and work and eat. Scott has made the decision to sell our home here. We have rented a house in Gastonia for the interim while we decide where to land for the upcoming years. We will be staying in the area. I just want something easier to maintain as we get older, all one level and something that will retain its value as Scott will be having an art studio built to continue to paint from. (you can check out his work on scottboyleart.com ). Please don’t panic…nothing is changing! No events are being canceled. For now, April stamp events will be same place unless I text differently.

Oh, one other thing I really need some help with……a new home for Ginger. If everyone could spread the word and ask your friends please! She loves people and being around people, she likes the warm sunshine but doesn’t live outside in the cold, she does not do well with babies or small children - we think some trauma when a pup and she doesn’t like thunder/lightening/wind storms but is fine if she is close to you during those times.

See you all soon! Please call or text or email if you have any questions on ordering.

I am excited to share our celebration this weekend! All went so well and Elizabeth sends her love and thankfulness to all! She said to tell you all she is working on Thank You cards but has had a lot of orchestra weeks before the wedding. Elizabeth asked her photographer especially to send me a few pictures that were taken of her and Nate. We can not say enough good about her photographer, Brittany Mundy! She was awesome! I have filled in with other pictures Scott and I took during the festivities. We hope you enjoy!

Elizabeth and Nathan

The morning started around 9 AM with girls getting hair and makeup and a lot of waiting….pictures started around 11:30AM with lunch and more waiting while pictures were being taken. You can see my Daniel has to have a funny picture but he was a sweetheart waiting and always being on hand to do whatever was needed!

Yes, that’s Anna and her husband, Daniel Zellers and you see Camille and Karla, my son Joshua’s wife and baby, Allie just starting to show herself with a little bump in her mom’s belly :)

The wedding started at 3PM You see Anna’s husband playing the violin - which was absolutely beautiful!!!

We were honored to have the sweet girls Elizabeth is nanny to as part of the wedding as flower girls.

Presenting Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Russell

And reception after with first dance, daddy daughter dance….Scott did really well!, and party time! Followed by cutting of cake and the shoe game. You see my son Joshua and Karla definitely know their dance steps.

And at the end….a big send off with sparklers!

Thank you for being part of our lives and rejoicing with us! We are truly blessed and enriched by sharing our lives together.

Much Love, Esther and Elizabeth

Tutorial using Two-Tone Flora Die and Queen Bee Die

Are you up for a new technique that is super easy? Check out this one!

When you look at the Copper Embossed image on the Petal Pink card stock, do you see the image of the Two-Tone flowers? Pretty cool!

Click on the button below for the link to tutorial. Basically, you will die cut the Two-Tone Flora Die on scrap card stock and then place over the card stock you are wanting to emboss. Your Two-Tone Flora die cut acts as a template for the embossing powder image. You can then cut/punch into squares or whatever shape you would like.

Here is another sample I made…..I was going for a simple and clean look with Basic White ink and Basic White Embossing Powder. Stampin’ Up embossing powder is great for these projects because it is fine and when heated results in a clean embossed image.

Sr. Center Class is this Thursday, March 16th at 1:00pm. Below are 3 of the 4 cards will be making at the class. Please RSVP to Esther so I have card stock cut and ready for you.

And…..I have to brag on some of my downline and their creations:

Elaine used a window sheet for her card front and Linda made these cute little boxes for Easter.

Morningside club—Tuesday, March 21st, Pam T. is our hostess

Thanks for visiting!! Have some fun stamping this week! Next week we’ll have some wedding pictures to post for you.

Texture Chic goes scrapbooking

Time is ticking……

Two more days to order and get your 2023 FREE Sale-a-bration gifts! I have loved the Sale-a-bration offerings this year….there have been so many fun, cute, lovely products to work with. But…my two favorites are still available…..Dandy Designs Designer Series paper pack - 12 x 12 double sided pack of 48 sheets! You will see below on all the cards except the 3rd one with Beautifully Happy stamp set which is my other favorite of this years offerings. Don’t miss out on getting yours to use today! Please reach out to me to put in your order or for a hostess code.

This also means….just 2 more days - oh! Think hard! It’s a great deal to join my team through February 28th! Anytime is great, but for 2 more days….there is a special from Stampin’ Up….. $129 for the joining kit that comes with your choice of $175 worth of Stampin’ Up products and a mini die cutting machine or $99 for just the $175 worth of Stampin’ Up products.

This does not mean you have to sell, most join for the discount on their own products they order under their demonstrator number. And of course, I love having you on my team and enjoy the camaraderie we have at our team meetings and events

At least 4 scrapbook spreads have emerged from Texture Chic Designer Series Paper this past year and countless cards. We’ve used Texture Chic for beach, snow, summer, winter, masculine, and now love pages and cards.

Three of the cards we made at Birthday Stampin’ Blitz earlier this month also used Texture Chic DSP. I can’t say enough good things about this paper! It’s so versatile, such a wonderful paper with texture and just the right amount of bling!

I wish you all could see these pages in person…..they evidence my inability to take pictures. The pages are soft yet the little bit of gold from Distress Gold paper #159237 gives excitement to the pages.

Texture Chic scrapbook layout using Poppy Moments Dies

Such wonderful paper to work with! Texture Chic has such nice colors and texture to interface with your pictures! I highly recommend ordering a package or two before this Designer Series Paper retired in a couple of months.

The flowers used on this spread come from Poppy Moments #151594. We have used Petal Pink and Soft Succulent card stock with an overlay die cut from Distressed Gold Specialty Paper for a dimensional look.

The Alphabet Dies are used for the lettering #160750 available in the January to April 2023 mini catalog. Click on below images to enlarge.

Our other scrapbook layout is a late Thanksgiving spread. We had fun with textures pulling out some burlap and retired Stampin’ Up Designer Series Paper

The stamp set we used was retired Stampin’ Up Fond of Autumn withAutumn Bouquet Dies. The image is stamped in VersaMark and gold embossing powder used. The addition of color may be with a variety of ways; here we carefully used Stampin’ Blend markers although the alcohol markers can make the gold embossing a little dull.

Fond of Autumn Stampin' Up

Upcoming is TEAM MEETING on March 4th! I have exciting presentations and techniques from Joann Faulkner and myself along with make and takes, gift and lunch! 10:00 am normal meeting facility. I will be emailing reminder with address. Swaps are welcomed - I am expanding to anything current for this meeting. Hope to see you there or on Zoom that day

Wondering what happens at a Stampin' Blitz?

This past Saturday we had another spectacular Birthday Stampin’ Blitz! Everyone had a fabulous making 20 Birthday cards and had a lively time visiting with friends! Here’s a review….. Next Blitz will be November with 20 Christmas cards.

It happens all in a day! Everyone comes in and gets settled in their place….with their seat cushion and work organization space, tools, ink pads and extra supplies needed.

They get a breakfast provided and start to work. You’ll see in the picture everyone got a birthday box with gifts and adhesives and little treats at their place with all 20 cards and envelopes neatly packaged for the days stamping.

I group everyone in groups of 6 with all stamps/dies at the table to share with your table mates. It’s a fun time of visiting, catching up, and sharing ideas and helping….and at least one of us….me, Camille, Hailey, or Elizabeth is always available for questions and help.

Along with the card stock all cut and ready for each card, I provide a tutorial with picture of each card along with access to a couple of sample cards to look at for each card to make.

Stampin’ Blitz is held at the Dallas Senior Center in Dallas, NC where there is plenty of room to move around and great lighting.

Lunch and Dinner are provided and at the end, we have a cupcake buffet as a sweet treat to reward the day of hard work stamping :)

And you have 20 cards to pull out and send to friends! I would come and stamp with me at one of my events before attending a Blitz just to get used to the flow.

And….here are a few of my favorite cards that were made at this year’s Birthday Blitz. I’ve included a copy of the tutorial for one of the cards.
