Gingerbread Holiday Scrapbook Layout

We’re back to scrapbooking from a busy fall. And the Cute Gingerbread Man Bundle is the key to this CUTE spread!

Tips:

  • gingerbread man is stamped in White Craft ink and then use White Embossing powder and heat….then die cut using Gingerbread Dies

  • gingerbread house is made from a piece of 3” x 2 1/2” square for house and then cut a 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 square cut on diagonal for roof

  • Use Delicate Frames Bundle #167309 dies for the icing on the roof of gingerbread house by die cutting Basic White Card Stock

  • The door is die cut using Everyday Arches #164630

  • Gum Drops are created from Peaceful Garden Glimmer Paper #165929 and Real Red and Garden Green ink pads. Place a small strip of the Silver color of glimmer paper directly on the Real Red ink pad and also a small strip of the Silver color of glimmer paper directly on the Garden Green ink pad. Press on the glimmer paper directly on the ink pad to color the pieces of glimmer paper…..lay aside to dry or heat set with heating tool. When the color doesn’t wipe off the glimmer paper, it is safe to die cut with the Gingerbread Man gum drop die. The gum drops look like the sugar coated (frosted) real gum drops

  • Gingerbread man bow tie and hat brim are die cut from All Occasion 12 x 12 Velvet paper #166063

  • I am sorry to say the DSP for the background - the candy canes and the strips are not available as they have been retired for several years from Stampin’ Up

  • But…the 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper that the layout is built on is AVAILABLE! It is Peaceful Garden 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper #165917

  • The top part of the spread is build with a circle punch or similar. After adhering circles, flip the page to the backside and follow the edge of the 12 x 12 DSP and cut off excess circles.

  • Letters come from Mini Alphabet Dies #162934 ****A MUST for scrapbooking!

We also made the following scrapbook spread for winter pictures…..it’s kinda cold, kinda winter green an kinda Christmas….easy to create! What pictures would you put on this layout?

The more I use this set, the more I like it! It’s a cross between cold and winter greenery! It is so inviting and warm!

For this layout, I used Blending Brushes and applied LIGHTLY Shaded Spruce ink and Basic Beige ink and then started randomly stamping the snowflakes in Shaded Spruce, Pretty Peacock, and Crumb Cake.

Added were snowflakes die cut from the Elegant Pine Snowflakes 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper and the final touch was Hues of Blue Flower embellishments #165630

Christmas Blitz review

This past Saturday, we had a fun day making 20 Christmas cards! It was an awesome day! And I wasn’t sick. I still am remembering last November Blitz- and I had a fever but got through the day….so definitely this blitz was so much better….we just missed a some of you!

The next blitz is scheduled for February 21st….to start the year off with 20 Birthday cards. I hope you will mark your calendars for February 21st and we’ll see you at the next blitz!

I always think….take pictures….but I seem to forget :(

The little box holds some liquid soap in a Christmas scent. And you may be able to see we also used the Gingerbread Man for the place name card. See what will use him next in club this month!

Taking Registrations for Christmas Blitz!

What is Christmas Blitz? It’s a one day fun event that you will make 20 beautiful Christmas cards….2 each of 10 different designs.

Christmas Blitz is held at the Dallas Sr. Center so there is plenty of space and lighting. You will craft with others sharing stamp/die products to make your cards. It’s a fun day of visiting together and crafting.

Held on Saturday, November 1st from 8AM to 8PM

Included in the cost of $140 plus a product bundle will be:

  • all the card stock and envelopes cut and ready for you to stamp, die cut and put together

  • Adhesives and a small gift

  • All meals- breakfast, lunch, supper and a small desert buffet

  • written tutorials for every card with picture

In addition, there will be a massage therapist available Saturday afternoon to give chair massages. You can pay her directly.

Recap from Creative Escape 2025

A totally wonderful retreat this year! Our theme was Safari and yes, we went on a Safari! Kylie found the most animals on our safari and we saw lots of other animal look alikes. The ladies made lots of cards and scrapbook spreads. I did get some pictures taken but failed again to post them on the appropriate days….so a few here will have to do. I’ll try to post more directly on Facebook. And next week I’ll try to post more pictures of the cards we made.

At Creative Escape - you will get fun little surprises and even a pillow gift! Over the past years, several of our attendees have joined in the fun of giving gifts and pictured first are 2 of the gifts everyone received this year…from Sara and Cathy.

Refreshing Autumn...Cool Temperatures and Beautiful Cards!

As promised…..here are some fall cards to inspire you! I have loved using the Gathering Together 12x12 Designer Series Paper by Stampin’ Up! Gathering Together DSP adds just the right amount of color, brilliance, and sparkle to make you want to welcome colors of fall!

We used Stampin’ Up Stampin’ Blend Markers to color the fall pumpkins, squash and corn.

Again we used Stampin’ Blends Markers to color in the pumpkins/squash and then used Amber Autumn dies to perfectly cut image out.

This card comes alive because of the Designer Series Paper! Gathering Together 12 x 12 and the stamped and die cut leaves from Gathering Together stamps and dies. the stamps are distinctive stamps….you can see the veins of the leaves and texture from the photopolymer stamp.

You can see I have totally enjoyed using Amber Autumn Bundle as well as Gathering Together Suite including the Gathering Together 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper for my fall cards! There is another set that I have been eyeing….it has lovely vines/leaves for pumpkins, Beautiful Pumpkins bundle!
