Hey Chick! and Welcoming Window Video Tutorial

There is one more absolutely AWESOME Hey Chick card you have to see! But first I want to make a formal apology to Paulette. I totally forgot her card and did not get it sent to the judge. Like how could I forget this cute, cute card…..I do NOT know, well, yes, I do, I just don’t work as well as I used to and I was - am still a strung out with all my stuff. But, still not excuse…it happened and I am sorry it happened! For this winner of a card, I am sending Paulette some Blending Brushes and you all get to see her creativity! It’s excellent!

I am extremely thrilled with our team meeting this month! Awesome swap cards! super attendance! Sweet fellowship! and a fantastic group of ladies! This month, the ladies and I made a swap card from our favorite stamp set out of the retiring annual catalog. So often, I have stamp sets that are on my wish list and then the mini catalog comes out and I forget about great sets in the annual catalog….well, here is one last reminder to check your wish lists and place those orders….especially for the retiring card stock and embellishments!

Looking over the Last Chance Products, I see some great deals on Designer Series Paper, punches, dies, and ribbon! Most are listed from 20% to 60% off!

If you need small gift boxes….Gold Mini Pizza Boxes are now $4.20 8 boxes….Great Deal!

And a favorite on mine….the Gorgeous Posies Project Kit is now 20% off - $25.60 for 16 of the most beautiful cards and card box!!!

Boho Indigo is an awesome deal too! It is retiring and on my shelf to use. I’ve seen cards in person and the DSP is most beautiful!! Even if you don’t get the whole kit, the refil is only $13.80 for 48 sheets of 6 x 6 DSP, 6 sheets of Very Vanilla dry embossed paper, 6 sheets of die cuts and 40 paper flowers. It’s a gotta get!

Here is a pdf of the list of products that are retiring with their discounts shown at the far right side.

Please use hostess code: 7W6HQZBR for all orders under $150. You may order directly from my website or text/call/email me.

Here is another video for you to enjoy Welcoming Window form the January to June Mini Catalog. We’ve had lots of fun with this set for club using Foam Adhesive Sheets to attach the window frame and flower box. In this video, Elizabeth shows how to make an open window in the card front.

Thanks for visiting with me! Take time to refresh yourself and stamp a little this week and come stamp with me this Thursday for a stamp camp 1-6pm at my home…drop in.

Winners of the Chick Challenge, Creative Escape, and Retiring lists will post Wednesday!

I am pleased to announce the winners of the Chick Challenge! Here is a little about out judge….

Guest Judge Joyce Feraco will be celebrating her 25 year anniversary with Stampin’ Up! in April. She has earned the incentive trip every year since she began. She was the third person in the history of SU! to achieve the million dollar sales award. She is blessed to have been able to travel the world and be part of such an amazing stampin’ family. However, her biggest achievements will always be on the home-front. She is a military wife (he is retired now, but that was her life for 23 years), mother of six and grandmother to two adorable twin girls!

Some thoughts to the participants from Joyce: "Stampin’ Up! makes my heart smile - every.single.day. and I can see by your creations that same can be said for each of you.” Many blessings to you. Joyce Feraco

I was very honored to be able to be the guest judge for the Chick Challenge Cards. Choosing the winners was challenging because there were so many detailed, fun and unique designs to choose from. I loved the array of colors and techniques - watercoloring, Stampin’ Blends, markers, sponging and more. I’m always intrigued with new card cuts and the general use of DSP. I stand in awe of all the talent that was represented with these cards. Let me just say the stampers are all so very creative – the details were mind blowing. However, since I was tasked with judging here are the results:

Most Colorful award: #107 – Surprising and fun choice of colors – loved the gradient backgrounds, the pop out fence and streamers – makes me want to have a party! Sara Willis

Best Technique award: #100 – Everyone loves a surprise….and just like that you have TWO! Love the technique, the pop ups, color combination and the use of embellishments. Annette deRuyter

The Cutest Chick award: #110- Tik Tok…. I really liked the bright colors and how it was all incorporated into a unique CLOCK! Fun, sassy and certainly cute! Time well spent. Becky Smith

Overall Grand prize: #103 – the level of detail is nothing short of amazing; the balance and the use of the multitude of elements left me speechless. Very well executed! Linda Mitchel

And here are all the entries. As you can here in Joyce’s words, this was a challenging job to judge the entries….they were all over the top cards, awesome, detailed, beautiful winners! I have some really talented stampers in my sphere! Thank you for entering! We’ll do this again sometime soon.

Retiring List will be available on Wednesday, March 24th!

I will post retiring list for our annual 2020 - 2021 Stampin’ Up catalog as soon as I can Wednesday. Check your wish lists immediately! You know retiring accessories sell out so quickly the first day! I understand there will be discounts on some retiring items. If you want to put in an order online….please use hostess code: #7W6HQZBR on my website: https://estherboyle.stampinup.net

Elizabeth has been hard at work the past 2 weekends preparing more videos…..so stay tuned! More great video tutorials coming in the next 2 months, but today, I’m posting a Masking video tutorial featuring one of the ladies from Stampin’ Up headquarters that I have enjoyed. Stamp room update

We’re making progress on my stamp room renovation! It took 2 weeks to take up the old tile and lay new tile after we hauled all of my things out of the room. We’ve almost finished painting and are now in the process of having new cabinets made/purchased, staining, and then attaching them to the walls, and actually getting some things in place. Here are a few pictures of the progress. I’ve had 2 events already in my stamp room and plan to be ready for the 1st Friday club with more things in place!

You got to see my new card stock organizer cabinet!!! I am sooooo excited!

Join the fun with Hey Chick! and Hey Birthday Chick!

Hopefully by now you have read about the card challenge this month with Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles. I can’t wait to see all the cards you all come up with!!! These are such fun sets! I loved Hey Chick when it first came out a couple of years ago and now….oh! I love the dies that are with it!!!

It just makes me smile when I see the chick with the feathers in her face! Years ago, Daniel had chickens….well actually, our oldest son had the first set of chickens. It was his first “income job”. And Daniel also had his first “income job” with chickens. He dreamed big and came up wanting White Crested Polish chicks….at least I think that’s what they were. There were 3 of them. So funny to watch, looked like they couldn’t see where they were going. I remember we put a stretchy band on the feathers like a top pony tail to keep them out of their eyes but the other chickens just pecked it off. I still remember putting up chicken wire, clipping feathers so they didn’t fly over the fence, and Elizabeth cleaning eggs telling me we’ve just got to get rid of those chickens because it was such a mess when it rained! Such fun memories!

Well, here’s my card in memory of Daniel and his 3 chicks…..

Join in on the fun! Entire your best sample!

I am happy to announce that Stampin’ Up! has brought back an absolutely cute stamp set “Hey Chick”. In addition, they have added dies and a coordinating stamp set with dies. One thing I realized especially during covid (and I know many of my customers would agree) is the importance of being creative and do something we love. For the month of February, I have decided to give all of my customers a challenge of design a card using one or both bundles to have a chance of winning some prizes. Bellow I will attach some of the samples that stampin’ Up! has already released. In addition, there is a PDF flyer with the rules and guidelines for the CARD CHALLENGE, and a PDF about the NEW Hey Chick bundles. Most importantly enjoy it and have fun!!

Stay tuned for some exciting news I will be sharing on Tuesday February 2nd.

Another approach to using Gilded Leafing is to use a sponge and a tiny bit of Tombo Multipurpose Adhesive to attach Gilded Leafing to your card. Take a look at this video to inspire and learn another way of applying a little Glitz to your projects.

January Scrapbooking

headed off to a fun time with Woodland Wonder and Sale-a-bration freebie, Flower & Field DSP. I stamped the tree on to Soft Suede CS and cut out and then again on a piece of Basic White CS and used my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to color in. Cut them out and attached them with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Lots of Hugs and Kisses for Valentines or any time for that special someone in your life! Next month, we’ll do some more hearts vintage style, but January, it’s lots of heats in whimsical red and pink. I’ve used a combination of Floral Hearts Dies, #154306, Many Hearts Dies #154308, and Valentine Keepsakes stamp set #154354.

Cards by You…..

Thanks, Esther
