Creative Escape

We went to the Oscars! Creative Escape Oscars! Here are some highlights of our 2023 Creative Escape weekend retreat. Rumored to be the best Creative Escape we’ve had….

The weekend started off Thursday evening crafting and continued to the climax of the Oscars. We relaxed (a little), crafted, ate, and went to the Oscar! Al most too much fun! and can’t wait for next year!

Below are some high lights and as you continue to scroll down, you will find the confirmation to our next event….2023 Chriarmas Stampin’ Blitz.

We hope you can join us next year for another Creative Escape….we are woking on the the last weekend in September 2024 now. But in the meantime…please you can join me for fun filled day…..November 11th for our Christmas Stampin’ Blitz. Please print and mail/email confirmation back to me along with your $50 deposit.

Definition of blitz: a sudden, energetic, and concerted effort, typically on a specific task.

So Stampin’ Blitz….is a one day mini Creative Escape making 20 Christmas. Filled with community, crafting, consuming yummy food, and in general having a great time!

  • When: Saturday, November 11th, 2023 8 AM to 8 PM

  • Where: Dallas Sr. Center, Dallas NC

  • How: you will sit in groups of 6 and share Stampin’ Up products to make 20 Christmas cards…2 of 10 styles.

  • Cost: $110 plus purchase of listed bundle through me to use during Stampin’ Blitz with your seat mates and then take home with you. This price includes all consumables for the 20 cards, adhesive and embellishments, breakfast, lunch, and supper and a mini desert buffet. You will also receive a small gift.

  • We will possibly have a massage therapist available for you to pay for a chair massage (still working on that)

Come and join us at this fun event and when you are finished….you will also have 20 Christmas cards!:)

Fun Fold Cards

I’m bursting with pride and excitement as I present all our swap cards from team meeting this past Saturday!!!

EVERYONE did a FABULOUS JOB on their creations! I don’t remember who it was, but I heard one of the participants say they were so glad they swapped because ALL the cards were great!

Just wish my photography and writing skills were better to show off how awesome these cards are! Many of them have multiple pictures to show off the fun fold.

Awesome job team! I love our team meetings! And all the support and community we have at our team meetings….including when I Zoom with our team! If you want a little more from stamping….I totally suggest joining my team! This enables you to come to team meetings about every 2 months and get a discount on your orders under you demonstratorship as well as sell to others for an income if you choose to do so, but not required!

I love this Fun Fold design! It’s one that you can use your Designer Series Paper that you LOVE, but just have a little bit left!

There is a piece of DSP measuring 4 x 5 1/4 on the card front…the card base is cut 4 1/4” x 11” and scored at 2 1/4” and 7 3/4”. This gives you the off set opening for your card base so after cutting the piece of 4 x 5 1/4” DSP, cut it again so that you will have 2 pieces…. 2 1/8” x 4” and 3 1/8” x 4”.

Cut 5 strips of the DSP (can be alternating colors so they pop) measuring 1” x 2 1/2” and fold in the opposite corners to opposite sides as in the last picture above. Know that you can click on each picture to enlarge.

Enjoy making your own fun fold and creating all kinds of color pattern combinations!

Stampin' Up Backstage convention

I definitely can say Backstage was totally great, awesome, and wonderful! And came home with goals and a picture of challenges I want to take on and learn and better myself and serve others with.

First challenge is to find or get another phone….yup, I was still a little sleepy from dozing that I didn’t notice during the flight my phone slipped out of my pocket. So, please email me to contact in the next few days.

At this point I don’t have pictures other than the one faceBook post from the trip to Las Vegas. I do have the swap cards from Backstage convention and I am posting a few tonight for you to be inspired!

Sneak Peek All About Autumn DSP + New Video Paper Florist

This Week is packed with samples! There are 2 scrapbook layouts plus another video on Paper Florist Dies. First lets look at the video…

 
 

There are a couple of things going on with the card front…..flowers and more flowers!

The most obvious are the flowers made with Paper Florist Dies.

Under those flowers you will find Masterfully Made Designer Series Paper with the most brilliant color. It is die cut with Gorgeous Gard Dies. This die cuts out flower shapes in a full card size. Just watch the video and you will see!

Stampin’ Up Paper Florist Dies Easy to make paper flowers

These dies have been VERY POPULAR and are currently on back order…but they will be available mid September ready for you to order!

These dies are a favorite of mine! One pass through the die cutting machine and you’ve die cut all you need for a complete flower for most all of the flowers. So quick and efficient!

I also paired Paper Florist Die with the NEW Designer Series Paper All About Autumn. It is absolutely eye catching striking rustic pattern paper. It will be available in the September through December mini catalog.

And here’s a simple beach layout for all your fun at the beach pictures!

Simply use the blending brushes to apply ink….here I used Crumb Cake on the bottom and then turned my pages around to apply Pool Party ink and finally add Coastal Cabana to the top with another blending brush.

Once the sheet has a varied color, you can cut apart in sections and place on a piece of 12 x 12 Basic White card stock

We have another video tutorial for you! If you can’t tell….yes! I really like these dies! Besides their beauty and variety of flowers made with the dies, I love how easy they are to use…one pass through the die cutting machine and you have a complete flower! I am sorry to say Stampin’ Up is out of stock right now….but more will be available the week of September 18th. Put them on your wish list!!!


I left the picture on the larger size so you could see the detail in the embossing of flowers that give them texture and also you can see the detail in the wonderful Masterfully Made Designer Series paper, item #161192. (sorry the one pearl got knocked off in my desk pile up)

You can also see the delicate fringe die cut (used for the flowers in Paper Florist video #2) as a layer in Pretty Peacock along with Natural 1/4” Wavy Trim item #161517 on this card.

Party Time with Zany Zoo

I have a a “ton” of fun with Zany Zoo little critters! Those little critters party, play sports, make cupcakes, go to the ballet, sing and camp…there are 6 different pages in this Designer Series Paper as well as stamps to match the correct die size. On each of the 6 pages of DSP, there is one animal that has a die to cut out DSP or stamp.

You can make all kinds of cards using Zany Zoo and this month, we have scrapbook spreads for your party times!

Pictures are mounted on the 4 x 4 mattes or there are 2 - 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 Inch mattes for pictures with all the little critters celebrating you!

The corners of these pages are created by using the back side of Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper. Cut 2 pieces of 6” x 6” DSP and then cut one on the diagonal left to right and the other right to left resulting with the arrangement of ALL the squiggly lines running vertically

 

Our 2nd scrapbook spread uses Bright & Beautiful for another party spread. Wither its for a birthday or just a family get together…..this are bright and fun!
